Ben Stebbing
Born in London and raised in California, Ben settled in Manchester. He was a tree surgeon, a gardener, a multi-media dogsbody and a failed actor before entering the noble profession of bookselling. Trained under the legendary Robert Topping at the Deansgate, Manchester branch of Waterstone's. He moved on to bigger fish in 1998, setting up Clinamen Press. Clinamen has since become one of the most respected publishers of philosophy, photography, drama, cultural studies and travel writing in the UK. He currently runs Clinamen, freelances throughout the publishing industry, including Sales and Marketing at Manchester University Press, and is the Editor for the-phone-book.com.
