I started leaving them things when I first moved in. Now I put something out every week to see if I can tempt them. They like bins full of rubbish most and it attracts whole herds of them from a long way off. They are fascinating to watch - they all have their own personalities and they talk and chatter and look like they're actually communicating. Every Thursday, I drag my rubbish outside and leave it just far enough from the house so they are not too scared to take it, and just close enough so I can watch them. And they come and take it all and then they run off, scared of the contact and satisfied with the scraps I have given them.
