Brain Surgery (v12.0)
by David Bateman
I didn't like having to use brain surgery to make her fall in love with me – and certainly I had doubts as to whether it was strictly ethical – but in the end it seemed the only way.
I'd tried everything to get her interested. After all, we had so much in common, both being top brain surgeons. But nothing seemed to work, and to make things worse, she constantly had a crowd of other admirers hanging around her.
After the operation, I waited on tenterhooks until the miraculous moment when she woke up and first gazed at me with adoring eyes. Her recovery from the surgery was swift, and we began our wonderful whirlwind romance.
Unfortunately I tired of her quite quickly, and so decided to ditch her. Today she's simply a mild annoyance as she follows me around, while being followed in turn by her own band of admirers.
